PUNE: Ruby Hall Clinic announced the launch of its new mobile application (app) both for Android and iPhone platforms, providing patients and families with a one-stop mobile information hub for navigating the Ruby Hall Clinic's patient care services.

Benefits to the app users include access to information on physicians and search by specialty and location, clinical and diagnostic service and emergency details of all units/branches of Ruby Hall Clinic hospitals.

The applications were built by healthcare technology and analytic company Praxify which provides a connected cloud and mobility based platform for doctors, patients and hospitals.

In a bid to aid environmentalists, engaged in restoration and conservation of greenery on hills, a city-based IT professional has developed an application, Mobile Sutra, that enables GPS tracking of Pune’s green cover and help in creating a biodiversity database.

The application allows a user to specify the tree’s name, location and take its photograph, and upload the data on a server. Later, the details can be viewed by clicking on the tree-icon on the online map.

Sanjay Athavale, who has designed the application, is also a member of Green Hills Group which works for restoration and preservation of trees in the city. Athavale has named the application Mobile Sutra.

Athavale has fed the location of six hills — ARAI Tekdi, Chatuhshrungi Hill, Tukai Tekdi in Baner, Baner Hill, Mhatoba Mandir hill and Hanuman Tekdi — in the application. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reserved these hills under the Biodiversity Park (BDP) in 23 fringe villages.

PUNE: The ministry of external affairs has launched a mobile application 'mPassport Seva' to offer passport related services to smartphone users. The application will help users track their passport application status, locate passport seva kendras (PSKs) and get general information on various steps involved in obtaining a passport.

The application will enhance citizen experience and help them get information 'anytime-anywhere' on passport-related procedures and services.

The application has been made available first on the android platform. The latest version of the application can be downloaded from the passport seva portal www.passportindia.gov.in.

Tata Consultancy Services as service partner. The ministry said it is improving the delivery of passport services and governance in passport offices by focusing on citizen-centric initiatives, service orientation and transparency.
